When you see a 100-pound dog, at first you say, "Whoa! It's a big dog!" But this particular big boy, whose name is Winston, is part of a race called the Great Pyrenees. They are huge, but they are incredibly friendly. Whenever you treat them well, of course. Winston is treated very well and has a great predisposition for a dog that has spent a lot of time jumping between two states.
Eventually he found a home in Texas, where he went to nursing homes and visited people with Alzheimer's and other diseases. It is a therapy dog and people love to see this mountain range of dogs. Usually, many other therapy dogs are smaller, but Winston is one of a kind. Residents love to take him for a walk. His calm personality is perfect, he doesn't get too excited. He also likes being close to residents.
