Scottish Lad Sings ‘Try A Little Tenderness’ So Perfectly, He Forces All The Judges To Their Feet

Kerr James fascinates with the 1966 classic in BGT Another star was born on the popular TV show Britain's Got Talent. Kerr James, aged twelve, made a great impression on the four judges and the crowd during his audition. No one expected the rumor that came from this young man. Kerr may be only twelve, but he already has a lot of experience behind him. In the musical he was part of Oliver's production at the Pavilion Theater and performed on the stages of Barrowland Ballroom, King Tut, Streets Ahead and Glasgow Community Champion Awards in 2017. The Glasgow preteen already has "roadies" in their concerts. Well, technically they are his parents, but they travel through Scotland with him and carry his keyboard for him. His parents describe themselves as "the oldest roads in the city". Although Kerr had a lot of previous experience, he was still a little nervous before his audition on a platform as big as BGT. Judge Alesha Dixon offered some words of encouragement to help calm him down a bit: "We are with you; we wish you good luck, go ahead! Kerr chose to sing "Try a Little Tenderness" from the soul of Otis Redding Jr., singer, composer, record producer, arranger and American talent scout. Redding had a series of successes that anyone who remembered the '60s would have easily recognized, and is considered one of the greatest singers in the history of American pop music, a fundamental artist in soul, rhythm and blues music. As soon as Kerr started singing, the crowd was in love. The jaws began to fall around the auditorium, and people whispered to each other how much older his voice was than his appearance. If you close your eyes, you wouldn't know it was a twelve-year-old boy who sang. The nervous boy in front of the judges had suddenly become someone else. Kerr poured everything he had in his special version of the famous song and soon made the crowd dance with him. The new and new version of the classic was a great success for everyone, and the performance earned him a standing ovation from the crowd and the four judges. Judge Amanda Holden adored Kerr's performance and said: "Your whole body was in that song, it was an incredible performance." Even the famous "stern judge" Simon Cowell was full of compliments: "You came out with this energy and optimism, you're really good when you're different and you stand out". Kerr's interpretation of "Try a little tenderness" easily led him to the next round of the competition. It will be interesting to see what he will do in his next audition, as it was already so memorable.
